Samples of Schematics and Service Information

You need Adobe Reader to view Adobe PDF files. Download it here (free).

Files available will be from any of the following sources and will be marked "S", "R", "M", or "O". See samples below:

Supreme Publications "S" and Rider Publications "R"

Long out of print "Most - Often - Needed" series of Radio Diagrams and Servicing Information (23 volumes between 1926 and 1963) from Supreme Publications. These are generally one or two pages containing a very basic schematic. Some may have part values listed on the schematic and some may contain a separate parts list. Tube positions and chassis layouts are not generally included.
Typical Sample PDF Files:
Sample Schematic #1
Sample Schematic #2

The extensive collection of "Troubleshooters" manuals from Riders may not only contain schematics, but many also contain methods of tuning, alignment procedures, and adjustments for radios and test equipment from the twenties through the fifties. These may be one to three pages for each model. Note that schematics for many early radios (1920's and early 30's) may be only one page with limited information.
Sample PDF Files:
Sample Schematic #1
Sample Schematic #2
Scans are high resolution for more clarity than most other sources. Cost is usually around $7.95 for the downloaded versions.

Manufacturer Copy "M" Order Here
This is the most popular information requested. Files are digitized in high resolution from the original data supplied by the manufacturer. Most are very clear scans of the manufacturer's service data supplied to their service centers. These may be one or two pages for some early radios (early model samples below) to several pages containing chassis, tube, and parts layouts along with wiring diagrams, revisions, and alignment procedures. Usually the most information and clearest scans you will find for a vintage radio. These are typically larger files to download.
Early samples:
RCA Victor Sample
Sears-Silvertone Sample
Crosley Sample

Other Sources "O"
Once in a wile I can only get my hands on a printout that I don't know the origin of. If I don't have any other known source for the information and its readable, I might post it here. These are clearly marked with an "O".
